Why that is not a conflict
He works in Brazil, takes no U.S. clients, and has no U.S. business to protect. There is nothing for him to sell a reader and no case to win. His only exposure to being wrong is being wrong in public, which is why every guide is dated and why corrections are made openly.

Statutes first
Law claims are traced back to the state statute or court rule they come from, not to a blog or a summary of a blog. Where a state has its own prenup statute, we name it.
Bar association and legal-aid material
We read what bar associations, legal-aid organizations, and family-law publications publish for the public, because that is what a reader is most likely to be shown by a lawyer.
Prices are labelled as estimates
Cost figures are ranges compiled from published fee surveys, published service pricing, and reported ranges. They are estimates, not quotes, and we say so wherever a number appears.
Dated, and dated honestly
Every guide shows its date. When a page is updated, the date changes — and when it has not been touched in a while, that stale date tells you that too. A visible date is more useful to you than a fresh-looking one.
Errors get corrected in public
If a reader reports something factually wrong, we aim to fix it and re-date the page. We do not quietly delete a number we got wrong.
